BX board boots when connected to computer

I setup the FOSS toolchain via the AUR and tinyprog via pip on my new system. After that I added my account to the equivalent of the “dialout” group. When the board is connected it boots after ~2 seconds, after that --list fails to see it. Resetting it and attempting --list before boot fails with

“[Errno 16] Device or resource busy: ;/dev/ttyACM0”

Interestingly if --list is pressed immediately after reset it sees the device properly. When I attempted to program the board immediately after resetting it, the board disconnects during the upload process.

This behavior has me scratching my head, does anyone have any idea as to why this is happening or how to fix it?

This is probably caused by modemmanager. Search the forums for modemmanager and you will see that it has been reported and fixed many times, usually by uninstalling modemmanager.

Yep that fixed it, thank you. Sorry about not doing enough prior research, it was late.
