Tim Ansell and I have done a bit of “spring cleaning” on the tinyprog PyPI package over the last couple of days (see Issues with tinyprog -u on BX), and have a pre-release version which we think is (a) hopefully installable on Python 2 and Python 3 (1.0.23 only had a Python2 upload), and (b) has a cleaner PyPI description, etc, and © hopefully works on both Python 2 and Python 3.
If possible we’d like a few people to test out the pre-release version before we mark it as stable. Is anyone willing to try upgrading and see if you can still program your BXes, etc? (While there’s quite a big diff on the code, most of it is reformatting the code; most of the substantial changes are in the setup.py for building the package.)
From memory you can upgrade to the pre-release version using pip with:
pip install tinyprog --upgrade --pre
(If you want to see what changed first, look at Issues with tinyprog -u on BX or https://github.com/tinyfpga/TinyFPGA-Bootloader/issues/25 for links to the pull requests on GitHub with the changes.)
